Here I would like to tell you more about myself, my professional background and my fascination for the topic of anxiety treatment.

About me

My name is Felix Michael Kolb. In the course of my professional career as a psychologist and psychotherapist, I quickly developed a great interest in the topic of anxiety treatment, which still fascinates me due to its great diversity and relevance in everyday life. Furthermore, I find it very fulfilling to support people in overcoming their fears and to witness their successes first-hand. Through the form of online counseling I can help my clients to overcome their problems independent of time and location. I really appreciate the high level of meaningfulness and flexibility of my work.

My professional qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Psychology (M.Sc.)

  • Trained and licensed as a psychotherapist in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Certified in Jakobson relaxation therapy

  • Registered in the medical register: "Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Hessen" (KVH)

  • Member of the Chamber of Psychotherapists (LPPKJP Hessen)

My Motivation

My motivation

The main reason for studying psychology was my great interest in the “why?” of human  behavior and experience as well as the possibilities to improve it. As a complementary part of my studies, exciting research projects took me from Trier (Germany) to Brisbane (Australia) and Paris, which allowed me to combine my fascination for foreign countries, people and cultures with my professional education. This finally led to the establishment of my self-employment as a psychological counselor "online" at the beginning of 2020.

After my master's degree in psychology, I completed an extensive training as a psychotherapist in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In the course of working for several years in inpatient and outpatient settings, I acquired comprehensive knowledge and skills in the treatment of mental disorders. My range of activities included both individual and group psychotherapeutic services. I supported people with a wide range of problems, from depression, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders to addictions, trauma, acute crises, psychoses and personality disorders.
